I'm a wife, a mother, and a grandmother who wants to make a difference in the world. I am looking for like minded women of a certain age that look to the future and see that they can help make the world a better place. If so, follow me on an adventure that started on a motorcycle and has moved on to riding life instead.

The silence is deafening
Somehow, I managed to delete this post. Probably a good thing, because I was in a bit of a foul mood when posting that day. Amazing how things turn out. I have updated the blog to provide instructions on how to comment on our trip. Keep looking for backpacks and school supplies. If you know of anyone or group that will break the pencil in half, let us know!

Hey Ladies! I've been checking in on your progress via the blog. Are you going to Sedona while you're in Arizona? It is awesome--deinitely one of the most picturesque and inspiring places I've been. Take care!
Al E. Gator (figured I would use an old alias)
Hey Al! Sorry we did not make it to your house... Kind of glad, we would have been in rain for a very, very long time! Wish you were here. This is incredible! I wish all my girlfriends could be with us on this trip. Today, we may venture into the capital of the Navaho reservation to see some of the schools there.
P.S.--I don't know if it fits in with what you want to do donating the school supplies, but have you thought about homeless shelters that cater to families? Some of the homeless kids could probably fit all of their worldly possessions into a backpack and might really need the school supplies. You might be able to network through the "Y" or some other organization. Just an idea...
